Downtown Kansas City law firm seeks a career oriented business and tax attorney with an interest in corporate aviation law.
Preferred candidates will have 3-5 years’ experience and public accounting helpful.  Ideal applicant will be licensed to practice law in Kansas and/or Missouri and have an LL.M. in taxation or CPA.  Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.

Executive Legal Assistant Job Posting
Location:  Downtown Kansas City                                Status:  Non-Exempt, Full-Time

Downtown law firm seeking individual to provide executive and legal support for Sr. Partner in our corporate aviation practice group. This individual will assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence for US and International transactions. Training provided. Degree required.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Sr. Partner with financial and business transactions. Monitor calendar and prepare domestic and international travel arrangements.  Assist with scheduling CLE courses and aviation conferences.
  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence for corporate aviation transactions, including Aircraft Purchase Agreements, Management and Charter Agreements and Leases. Maintain closing checklists, tracking documents and correspondence.  Prepare documents for filing with Federal Aviation Administration.  Monitor email correspondence and documents.

  • Demonstrates initiative with strong work ethic
  • Team player with regular and punctual attendance is essential

Education and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required. Preferred degree in English, Communications or related subject with excellent academic credentials
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • 2-4 years office or law firm experience, aviation industry a plus, but not required
  • Computer skills: MS Office and Outlook; Tabs time entry a plus
  • Foreign language skills beneficial, but not required
